Yet another post about that podcast thing I do

I just made an LJ community for the OSMcast that you can find at  http://community.livejournal.com/osmcast/. That way whenever we update the OSMcast blog and/or podcast itself, you can find it that way without checking the site.

Unless you really want to. We won’t mind!

Things are on track for a new podcast to be released on Friday! It’ll be about that anime con we just went to, MTAC. We’ll have pictures and stuff up as well as pseudo-review of the con, or at least that Saturday of the con.

Edit: I can’t seem to get the community  to crosspost, this is really weird. But hey once I do it’ll be great!

Happy day!

My dogs are back! They had been missing for a week and a half to two weeks. The guy that found them kept calling us and leaving messages, but we could never make out what he actually said. We even ended up buying a new phone/answering machine/caller ID thingie. Apparently the guy realized we lived down the street and dropped Dynos and Lexi off while I was work.

So that’s awesome! Oh and speaking of awesome…

I can has a podcast?

So it’s finally here. Since last year, I’ve been really wanting to do a podcast, and hoodwinked several friends into helping me making this happen.  This project actually started around 2 years ago as a blog that Eric and I were going to co-write called the OSMblog. It was essentially a blog where we would talk about whatever we thought was awesome at the time. And we figured while we were at it we would do a podcast to go along with the blog, and call it the OSMcast. So I bought the domain, and installed some blogging software, and…

We never bothered to actually use it. Eventually I said screw it and killed the site. But the urge to blog and podcast was still there. The blog idea sorta morphed into it’s own thing that you see here (which is still barely ever updated), but I figured that since the CHOCOGAZcast was kinda a silly name, the OSMcast project needed to be revived. Fastword to now and here we are.

And this time we’ve actually recorded a few shows! Just getting a chance to edit them has been crazy. BUT! The first editable podcast is now up!* It’s about Rock Band! Please listen to it! The RSS feed works and everything! Tell us about your thoughts on it! We know that I’m way louder then everyone else (I was closest to the microphone) and man don’t I sound like such a dork at times? But know really, tell us what you think! If you have any ideas or suggestions, let us know! We want this podcast to be as awesome as the name! You can post here, or in the LJ post, or even email us at osmcast@JUNKTHECAPSgmail.com. I’m not picky.

*Our first recorded podcast was about Kekkaishi, but it’s so jumbled and misrecorded I fear that it will never see the light of day. Of course, that may not be such a bad thing…

"What you're about to hear is not intended to be funny; you're not supposed to laugh at it. It was made in all seriousness."

Now here’s a post about bad music. Shawn Elliot closed out the latest episode of GFW Radio with one of his Heroes of the Web segments. This time it was a snippet from a fan-made opera based on FF7.

Yeah.

And so I listened to this travesty, a travesty that only really bored high school kids weeaboo nerds that have really crappy microphones can make. And then The Internet’s Bob Mackey revealed that there’s more. Apperently Shawn Elliot also put some of the songs up via PutFile. So here they are, from me to you:

Anxious Heart

Ode to Green

Cosmo Canyon

Enjoy!

Sometimes dreams do come true…

I forget when but at some point I was talking with Lee and I think James and Jessi over dinner recently about the idea of an “Ace Prosecutor” game, about how cool it would be to be Edgeworth for a whole game. But we figured it would never happen.

From: http://weeklygamejournal.blogspot.com/

Famitsu, 4/11

News:
Perfect Prosecutor (DS/Capcom/??)
* A law adventure game where you act as the prosecutor.
* Main characters are Miles Edgeworth, Dick Gumshoe
* You control Edgeworth, searching for overlooked evidence and inconsistencies at the crime scene.
* New search and deduction systems are introduced.

So I guess we were wrong! In fact here’s a scan of the Famitsu article. It looks like more of a classic “run around point and pick game” instead of just the pointing and clicking. It’s gonna be great watching Edgeworth prancing about the place!

Haha!

My horrible digestive system has dealt a blow against JUSTICE!

No, really. Because of my IBS I had to use the restroom too much to be a juror, at least this time (They had an absurdly large amount of jurors actually show up). Also, apparently the administrator knew my dad.

So yeah, no jury duty for me after all I suppose.

Jury Duty Day One

It’s 10 minutes till they start picking jurors. There’s a lot of us in here. Maybe I won’t get picked? Also I think I might be the youngest one here. That’s different.

The Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice courtroom looks cooler, but this one has a better color-scheme.
